This place is really small, but cozy. There's 5 tables inside and plenty of outdoor seating available as well. The line goes really quick, which is nice! You definitely have to try the pie while you're here. Food and drink review: Poor man's mocha: Tastes exactly like its ingredients! Pretty good and perfect for a cold day. Cinnamon cider donut: This was yummy! Perfect little bite size. Peach apple pie: It has a nice subtle peach taste. The flavors blended well together and so tasty warmed up. Caramel apple Dutch with side of cinnamon ice cream: I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious the ice cream was! The pie is perfect. It's definitely on the sweeter side so you can share a slice!

It is amazing that you can order this wonderful pie and have it delivered and it tastes as fresh as the Resturants bakeries in town . We loved the amount of time it took to deliver . Eating at home isn't as special as in cute Julian home town flair ! But it is still awesome

I had my first dutch apple pie from Julian Pie company in about 1990 and the first bite blew my mind. It was absolutely the best apple pie I'd ever had, even after living in several different states. We returned several times over those early years and the pies continued to delight us every time. I no longer live in southern California but I'm thrilled to see that they ship overnight. I've shipped many pies to myself and my parents over the years and just treated myself to another and they're still just as good as that first pie I had 35 years ago! Amazing!

We go to Julian as a day trip just to get the apple pie and to get hard cider. The people here are always friendly and patient even though they are constantly very busy. During peak tourist months (Summer & Spring) there is a line out the door and it can get quite loud. It is nice to go during the off season during the winter months. There is limited seating inside and some outdoor seating. They have one toilet to your left as you enter. The menu does not seem to have changed for years. We like the Dutch apple and Dutch apple with caramel the best. The caramel one only really tastes good with vanilla ice cream but is very good with it as it cuts the sweetness. They sell slices, whole ready made pies, and I believe frozen. We definitely recommend getting a slice with vanilla ice cream while there and getting a pie to go. They do not recommend refrigerating any pies you buy but rather eat them within a week. Refrigeration makes them soggy. Definitely worth a day trip whether you are a tourist or a local. There are places to stay in Julian, but we think a day trip is best for this location. Restaurants along the way are better than in Julian and just eating pie can be your meal!

When I lived in San Diego, this was a place I would visit many times. Once upon a time, I was an avid Motorcycle Rider & this was a great place to stop for Pie & Cider. Now that I live in Texas, this is a place I make sure to visit when I'm in town. I love the little town of Julian, the twisty roads getting here, the friendly atmosphere, and the smell of firewood burning when it's cold. I have always received amazing service at the Julian Pie Company. Everyone is super friendly, and even when the line is out the door and down the street, the line moves quickly. I think it's the best pie around, especially paired with the hot Apple Cider.

A must have in julian!! I got dutch apple pie and LOVE the crumbly top on this flavor. I also got ice cream on top, but this time the ice cream was a bit too much for me. Usually they only give 1 scoop but they have 2 scoops this time. I also tried to order the apple cider donut holes, but they were sold out on a Saturday at like 11am!! So if you want them, get there early. I got the cinnamon sugar and maple glazed full sized donuts instead. They were pretty good but a typical donut in my opinion. Also, you have to try the hot apple cider with caramel !! It goes perfect with the cold ice cream on the pie and makes the whole dessert so warm and cozy.

It took us about 45 MINUTES!!! We made our annual visit to the JULIAN PIE CO. We went up there the weekend before CHRISTMAS, and early!!! We went from San Diego, directly to JULIAN. It took us about 45 MINUTES. Once we got there, parking was difficult, it took us 15 Minutes, to find a SPOT!! We nevertheless found one, very close to the Julian Pie Company. When we got there, I needed to use their restroom, WHICH WAS VERY CLEAN!!! I walked out and found my partner had moved closer to the register. Instead of joining him, I snagged an empty table inside!!! He ordered 3 WHOLE PIES; and also 2 SLICES OF PIE (one with ice cream), and also 2 apple ciders!!! We decided on the way up there to purchase a WHOLE PIE for our next door neighbor!!! We got DUTCH APPLE, the one tried. IT WAS DELICIOUS!!!

Made w drive/cruise up to Julian to try the pies here. It really is good as what people rave about. There's a separate line for whole pies and single slices both have long lines so come early! We tried the pumpkin apple crumb, boysenberry apple crumb, and peach apple crumb. All with cinnamon ice cream on top. Though I did see most ppl opted for the Vanilla icecream but the cinnamon was delicious with the pie! My favorite was the pumpkin apple crumb! Parking is street-only. There are plenty of seats outside, but only one restroom here so prepare to wait in line if needed!

Food: The apple pie here is really good and made the hour drive worth it. I liked how the edges were crispy, and the filling tasted fresh and just the right amount of sweet. It's a solid pie, and you can tell they take their time making it. Service: The workers were friendly and patient even though it was busy. There's usually a bit of a wait, but with multiple locations and pies available everywhere in Julian, it's not too bad. Waiting felt like part of the experience, and it was worth it in the end. Ambiance: The outdoor seating is simple but nice, especially if you want to enjoy your pie while taking in the fresh air. It's nothing fancy, but it matches the laid-back, small-town vibe of Julian. A great place to sit for a little while.

The foodie sidekick picked up a Dutch apple pie and found ourselves cutting through this thing over the course of 4-5 days. Loved the crumbly crust with sweet and slightly tangy apples! We bought some vanilla bean ice cream to go with our pie and it just felt so cozy. If you're ever in the area, it's definitely a place to drop by and get your pie fix.
